SUMMER WEEKEND MASS SCHEDULE - Our Summer Weekend Mass schedule began on Saturday May 24th and runs through Sunday October 19th, 2025. Saturday Masses will be celebrated at 4:00pm in Fish Creek and 6:00pm in Egg Harbor. Sunday Masses will be celebrated at 8:00am in Baileys Harbor, 10:00am in Sister Bay, 10:00am in Jacksonport and at 1:00pm on Washington Island. Please join us!
SUMMER DAILY MASS SCHEDULE - Our Summer Daily Mass schedule began on Monday May 26th and runs through Friday October 24th. Holy Mass is celebrated in Fish Creek on Monday, Jacksonport on Tuesday, Egg Harbor on Wednesday followed by a Holy Hour, Sister Bay on Thursday and Baileys Harbor on Friday. All begin at 8:00 am. Daily Mass is also celebrated each month on the 1st Saturday in Baileys Harbor at 8:00am preceded by the Rosary at 7:30am and on the 3rd Thursday in Sister Bay at 6:00pm preceded by a Holy Hour at 5:00pm. A MOST HOLY OPPORTUNITY - A Sacred Heart Icon blessed by Pope Francis is now present at our worship site in Baileys Harbor through 9:00am on Sunday June 29th. The church in Baileys Harbor will be open daily this week to allow prayer in front of the icon. Mass will be offered in Baileys Harbor by Father Tom at 5:00pm on Tuesday June 24th. Come experience the immense love, mercy, and compassion that Jesus Christ has for humanity.
BABY BOTTLES - Will be available after Mass this weekend as a fundraiser for the Christ Child Society of Door County. Please consider taking one, fill it with coins, check or currency and return it any weekend on or before August 10th. Return it during the August 6th Christ Child Society Luncheon and you will be eligible for a special prize. Thank you for supporting the Dorr County Chapter.
TIME & TALENT 2025 - As a multi-site parish, Stella Maris Parish works efficiently because precious volunteers who generously share their time and talent. The Stewardship Committee asks all volunteers past and present, as well as anyone who may have an interest, adult and youth, year-round and seasonal to participate in 2025. SPANISH SPEAKING HOMEBOUND COMMUNION VOLUNTEER NEEDED - Stella Maris is looking for a person to bring communion to a homebound parishioner in the Fish Creek area who speaks Spanish. The visits are once weekly for about 30 minutes. BE PART OF THE PARADE - Please save June 28th on your calendars to be part of Stella Maris at the Ellison Bay parade. We will meet at Fitzgerald Park at 9:15am with the parade starting at 10:00am. From there we will walk to Ellison Bay Park. Please help us represent the church as we walk. We wil have candy to throw, materials to pass out and signs so others can get to know what we do on the penninsula. SPECIAL SPEAKER ON JULY 10TH - What do bears, yellow paint, river crossings and hiking around Wisconsin have to do with our spiritual journey? Find out by coming to listen to Ice Age Trail 1000-miler Becky Nash speak about how her physical journey revealed aspects of her (and your) spiritual journey. "Hiking the Ice Age Trail: Illuminations ofthe Spiritual Journey" will be presented by Becky after the Loaves and Fishes dinner on July 10th at our Sister Bay worship site. Feel free to eat dinner at 5:00pm or just come for the presentation at 6:00pm. Contact the parish office with questions.
PARISH DIRECTORY NEWS/PHOTO DIRECTORIES - Sign-up now for portrait seatings for our new pictorial Parish Directory! Harmann Studios of DePere is providing services for all Parish Members and Seasonal Parish Members to be included in a pictorial Parish Directory. Portraits will be taken by professional photographers July 28-Aug 9 at the Baileys Harbor Church. Portrait sittings can be scheduled on-line via the site: book.usesession.com/s/dND85Uhbgo We are also looking for volunteers to staff the reception table for the portrait sessions. SAVE THE DATE - On September 28th, 2025, Stella Maris Parish celebrates 20 Years! In 2005 our six sites merged to become one parish. Plan to attend our 20th anniversary celebration beginning with Mass at 10 am, at our Sister Bay site with Bishop Ricken and Father Tom presiding.

JAIL MINISTRY - Have you ever considered engaging with inmates at Door County Jail to offer fellowship, prayers or scripture reading? There is currently an opportunity for involvement. Although Lutheran and non-denominational Bible study groups are already active, there is presently bo Catholic representation. CAN YOU HELP? - Personal hygiene and some clothing items are being collected for the Boys and Girls Club of Door County throughout the month of May. Collection bins will be located at the parish main entrances. Items needed are: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairbrushes and underwear and sweats or leggings for girls and boys size 6-12.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Another home is being built in Sister Bay Along with other area churches, Stella Maris will be helping to provide lunches for the 12 person volunteer building crew at 11:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
